BACKGROUND

Prishtina REA, in cooperation with Kolašin municipality and Gjeravica Association from Peja, is implementing the “Tourism for Future” project, supported by the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Montenegro-Kosovo, under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II), aiming at, among other activities, certify 15 ECO LABEL Auditors.

OBJECTIVE

The certification program aims to develop a skilled workforce capable of performing ECO LABEL audits, ensuring that accommodations and tourism operators meet the mandatory and optional criteria for achieving the prestigious ECO LABEL certification. This initiative is designed to promote environmental sustainability, and enhance the competitiveness of the tourism sector in both regions.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Applications are open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Education and Experience:
  • A degree in environmental sciences, tourism management, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in tourism management, ECO, Environment, Energy or ISO
    certification processes.
• Skills and Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with ECO LABEL criteria and sustainable tourism standards.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in English and/or local languages (Albanian, Montenegrin).
