The natural beauty and tourist attraction of the Peja municipality is another destination you should visit is the “Drini i Bardhë Waterfall”. It is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Kosovo and a unique attraction in the municipality of Peja, which local and foreign tourists visit throughout the year. The Drini i Bardhë spring is one of the essential springs in Kosovo and one that supplies the city of Peja with drinking water. It is worth mentioning that with the water of this spring, Peja Beer is also produced, known for its quality.
It originates at the foothill of the Rusolia Mountain, from the well of the Radac cave at an altitude of 586m. With the large volume of water, the spring creates the beautiful waterfall of Drini Bardhë, which reaches a length of 30m. In Kosovo – Drini i Bardhë winds for 122 km in a north-south direction. It also collects the waters of Lumbardh of Peja, Erenik and Lumbardh of Prizren. With a size of 4646 km2, the Drini basin is the largest of the four watersheds in Kosovo.
Access to the spring or the “Drini i Bardhë Waterfall” can be done from two sides: one side leads from the hydropower plant road to follow the pedestrian path along the beauty of the river Drini i Bardhë under the shade of trees, and fantastic that circulates through the canyon in length up to 400 m, as well as the other access in the direction of the restaurant Trofta e Drini where you can approach by car to the path to continue walking to the waterfall.
