Since its launch in June 2023, the ‘Tourism for Future’ CBC project, covering Peja and Kolasin region, has aimed to transform the region into a hub of sustainable tourism excellence. Spearheaded by Prishtina REA, the ‘Gjeravica‘ Mountaineering Association, the Municipality of Kolasin, and the IPER Institute, this project has set ambitious goals to enhance environmental stewardship, improve competitiveness, and foster collaborative networks within the tourism sector. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the initiative’s impact on tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Kolasin, comparing data before and after the project’s implementation.

Data for this study were obtained from TO Kolasin and MONSTAT covering the period from June 2022 to May 2023, and June 2023 to May 2024. The analysis aimed to assess the impact of the ‘Tourism for Future’ initiative during and after its implementation phase. Specifically, the study focused on comparing tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Kolasin collective accommodation facilities before and after the initiation of the project. and conducting comparative analyses between the two periods.
